Getting to Myoko Kogen

BY TRAIN
The classic route — Shinkansen to Nagano, then a short local train to Myoko Kogen
Airport to Tokyo
From Narita
Take the Narita Express train straight from the terminal at Narita Airport which will take you to Tokyo Station.
From haneda
Take the Keikyu Airport Line train to Shinagawa Station or the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho Station, then transfer to other JR lines for Tokyo.
Landing late? Both airports have hotels with free shuttles for an easy first night before heading north.
Tokyo to Nagano
To travel from Tokyo to Nagano, take the Hokuriku Shinkansen, which typically takes around 1 hour and 24 minutes, with the first train departing around 6am and the last train around 10pm. Once you’re at Tokyo Station, just follow the “Shinkansen” signs — or ask any JR staff member, who are used to pointing tourists the right way.
Nagano to Myoko Kogen
From Nagano station, you will travel via local train to Myoko Kogen station which takes approximately 50 mins.

Arrival
Taxis are readily available from Myoko Kogen station to transport you to your Drifter Myoko.
BY Shuttle
No transfers — one direct ride from the airport or Tokyo straight to Myoko Kogen
The Nagano Snow Shuttle runs several times a day directly from Narita and Haneda airports to Myoko — a convenient option if you’re travelling with ski luggage.
Reservations are required and can be made through their website.
BY Car (self-driving)
Driving from Tokyo takes about 3.5–4 hours — the most flexible option if you want to stop along the way.
You can also rent a car from either airport or Tokyo and drive to Myoko Kogen. This will take approximately 3.5 – 4 hrs without stops. Car rental is also possible from Nagano Station which is approximately 1 hrs drive from Myoko Kogen.
**Rental cars for use around Myoko Kogen must be 4WD and have snow tyres.
