We had an amazing stay here! Can’t fault it at all. Chris made us feel welcome and showed us around the mountain. The lodge felt a lot like home after big days exploring Suginohara, ski in ski out. The food was amazing, Chris’s past life as a chef really makes a difference!!
The rooms where styled lovely, beds were very comfortable and all the amenities were fantastic.
We were sad to leave and already planning our next trip back to Drifter Myoko!!
Next time we are skipping Hakuba and staying the entire time here.
Enjoy the Authentic Japanese Experience
Onsens
If you are coming to Japan and wish to experience one of the heights of Japanese luxury and culture, a trip to an onsen is a must. Onsens are naturally-occurring hot springs and they are everywhere in Japan. They are an incredibly relaxing way to enjoy one of Japan’s oldest and most popular traditions.Snow Monkeys
Another must-see experience while staying with us, is to see the snow monkeys. They can be spotted in their natural habitat around the mountain, but you can also go and check them bathing in onsens in a nearby Jigokudani Monkey Park - home to Japan’s largest population of Snow Monkeys.
Snow Monkeys are fascinating to photograph, as they are capable of an extraordinary range of facial expressions and you might even be able score a selfie with one!
